Kevin is a fourth year student and is focussed mainly on structural engineering and design for his final year of study. His previous work experience has been in project management and geotechnical positions, however he plans to pursue structural design after graduation, eventually returning to do a master’s degree in architecture. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, BC, Kevin enjoys the outdoors, artwork and photography, and is committed to professional and community development at UBC.
Megan is a fourth year civil student interested in responsible resource management with a particular focus on water and sustainable development of our water resources. Megan came to UBC with a previous degree in Biology and several years of experience in environmental consulting. Since moving to Vancouver from Calgary, Megan has embraced the west coast life through hiking, camping and sailing.

Royston is a 4th year Civil Engineering student that transferred into UBC from Camosun College, in Victoria, BC. Royston decided to pursue Engineering after previously obtaining his Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology in Edmonton. His interest lies in the fields of Water Resources & Building Science. Royston is an avid snowboarder and loves spending time in Whistler.
Taylan is a third-year Civil Engineering transfer student coming from the Civil Engineering Technology program at Camosun College. He is interested in both structural engineering and building science and gets excited about sustainable urban development and innovation within the construction industry. After completing his degree, Taylan plans to work internationally for a few years before coming back to the west coast. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing as a member of the UBC Sailing Club.
With an avid passion for transportation planning, Kevin is a third-year Civil Engineering major with minors in Statistics and Economics. Besides managing the website for the UBC CSCE Student Chapter, he is also a representative for the UBC ITE Student Chapter, and an occasional web volunteer for the Ubyssey.
his almost non-existent spare time, Kevin enjoys photographing, music, going on bus or bike rides, coding, and sweating at the gym.
Ellen is a 4th year student with an interest in hydrotechnical engineering and concrete on the side. She enjoys photography of cityscapes and nature, and occasionally draws and paints in her spare time.

Nicole is a second-year student interested in project management and sustainable development. She is keen on exploring many disciplines of the Civil field throughout her studies at UBC. Moving from Hamilton, Ontario she enjoys exploring the West Coast through hiking and orienteering. She also enjoys playing hockey and participating on the concrete toboggan design team.

Jason is a fourth-year Civil Engineering student interested in structural engineering and project management. Prior to attending UBC he completed an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and worked with a structural engineering company. In his spare time, Jason enjoys watching European football, specifically supporting Arsenal FC, cooking, dancing, and camping.

Liam is a third year student with a strong interest in structural engineering and the construction of sustainable infrastructure. He is an advocate for the development of communities, and is dedicated to making the civil engineering community at UBC a better place. Liam has lived his whole life in Vancouver, and enjoys running and hiking in its beauty.
Lorena is a fourth year civil engineering student looking to pursue a career in structural engineering or building science. Her experience ranges from structural design of buildings and bridges to project management and geotechnical engineering. She enjoys painting, photography and hiking in her spare time.
